Urbanist
Research project with the City of Osnabrück that aims to motivate citizens to adopt more sustainable mobility behavior through a gamified mobile application and environment-aware routing.

The Solution
As a project partner, we designed, built, operated, and continuously evolved a platform that connects OpenStreetMap/GIS-based routing with real-time urban sensor data and model-driven environmental evaluation (e.g., CO₂, particulate matter). During the project we migrated the complete system landscape from AWS to an on-prem Kubernetes environment, ensuring long-term operability and independence from cloud-specific services.
The Value We Delivered
Building a Data Platform With Sensors or GIS?
Let’s operationalize real-time data and models with a stable platform—ingestion, validation, observability, and long-term operability.
